This 4-day professionals training articulates the need for an urgent paradigm shift in the field of sexual compulsivity treatment.

The Sex Addiction-Induced Trauma Model (SAI Trauma Model) offers a new model of treatment for the spectrum of disorders related to compulsive sexual behavior, sexual addiction, sexual acting-out, patterns of infidelity, out of control sexual behaviors, and associated conduct disorders.

  • The SAI Trauma Model significantly changes how the acting-out partner (“addict”), the partner, and the couple are conceptualized and treated by mental health professionals.
  • This foundational training focuses on how to integrate sex addiction-induced trauma into a systemic and relational model that includes the other people and relationships impacted by sexual acting-out systems.
  • The traditional “co-sex addiction” model for partners is diagnostic mislabeling and clinically contraindicated in treating partners and spouses. Rather, sex addiction-induced trauma is a nuanced and complex system of clinical post-traumatic symptoms.

Don’t miss this BAY AREA OPPORTUNITY to receive training from Dr. Omar Minwalla—pioneer of the “trauma model” movement in sex addiction treatment and founder of the Sex Addiction-Induced (SAI) Trauma Model.
